Termite Berserk (Gateway Conceptart)

hey hey, my really first conceptart done for AlienNate89 aliennate89.deviantart.com/

he's planning a cool game called "Gateway" at kickstarter.com and was searching for some concept artists - of course I had to say "yes"
the game's about alternative realities, some really weird but awesome stuff (you should visit his site if you're interested)

there was a lot of information he gave me and at the beginning I didnt know what to draw first . . . but after some fine hours playing "Borderlands" and killing some nasty ant-critters, I decided to draw something insect-like 

the creature you see is an extremely high developed berserk termite, created by its queen to kill as many enemies as possible (I was thinking about insects, which are able to change the DNA of their offspring just by thinking about it.....)

it has some special features, like an ax-arm and a bio-blaster-arm (???), the second pair of legs is combined with the first pair to gave it a better jumping power . . . it was definately fun to draw, the colours are btw based on bioluminescent bacterias living on its skin (i drew the most parts of its body coincidentally, cause i wanted it to have a mutated, kinda crippled look)
